Bank Holidays in November 2022: Banks to stay closed for 10 days this month
Banks will continue to be closed to the general public for 10 days in November. Out of this, 4 might be vacations and the ultimate six might be Saturdays and Sundays. They had been closed for 21 days in October.

List of Bank Holidays in November

The 4 vacations might be on November 1, November 8, November eleven and November 23.
November 1: Karnataka Rajyotsava/Kut – This marks Karnataka Formation Day and is widely known each 12 months on November 01. Banks in Bengaluru and Imphal will continue to be closed on this. Banks in all different circles will continue to be open on November 1.

November 8: Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima – Banks will continue to be closed in Aizwal, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubhaneshwar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Hyderabad. Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar. Banks in different circles will continue to be open.

 

November eleven: Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Wangala Festival – Banks will continue to be closed in Bengaluru and Shillong.

November 13: Seng Kutsnem – Banks in all circles will continue to be open besides Shillong.

According to the Reserve Bank of India, these kinds of vacations might be ‘below Negotiable Instruments Act’. For the uninitiated, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) divides vacations into 3 categories – Holiday below Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday below Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

Apart from these, banks may even continue to be closed on Sundays and 2d and fourth Saturdays – November 6, November 12, November 13, November 20, November 26 and November 27.
